Simplygon Scene Context for Blueprint
SimplygonSceneContext is an opaque handle to a manager-owned Simplygon scene. Store the context in a variable until every asynchronous job using it has completed, then call Release Scene Context for deterministic cleanup.
For a complete workflow, see Managed Scene Export and Capture.
Methods
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Is Valid | Check whether the manager still owns the represented scene. |
| Release Scene Context | Deterministically unregister and release the managed scene. |
Lifetime
Unreal garbage collection eventually releases the scene, but Blueprint workflows should explicitly release it from success, error, and abort cleanup paths. Releasing the same context more than once is safe.
After release or plugin shutdown, Is Valid returns false and new managed-scene jobs fail. If a job already owns the context transaction, release prevents new operations while allowing the active operation to finish before the SDK scene is destroyed.
Method details
Is Valid
Returns true while the active scene manager owns the represented scene.
Release Scene Context
Unregisters the represented scene and releases its SDK resources once active work has drained. Remove active delegate bindings before clearing the context variable.
