# LOD Recipe
LOD Recipe is a combination of assets that require LODs and a list of Simplygon Processor and Casters that define how each resulting LOD would be generated using Simplygon.
# When to use LOD Recipe
- Speedup LOD generation by utilizing Simplygon Grid
- To create LOD catagories e.g small prop recipe
- Batching and automated LOD pipeline.
