Installation

The Simplygon installer has an option to automatically install the Simplygon plugin for all supported versions of Maya. To automatically install the Simplygon plugin, please tick the checkbox for "Install Simplygon plug-in to detect 64-bit Max/Maya plug-in folders". If a manual installation is preferred the plugins can be found in the following path "Documents/Simplygon/Maya/Maya(version)". To manually install the plugin for Autodesk Maya, copy the plugin (.mll) and the Simplygon Runtime (.dll) into the "bin/plug-ins" directory of the Maya installation. This directory defaults to "C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya [version of Maya]/bin/plug-ins". It is also possible to modify the maya environment file to point to a different folder by setting the MAYA_PLUG_IN_PATH variable, usually found in "Documents/maya/[version of Maya]-x64/Maya.env". Please verify that the plugin has been loaded in the Maya plugin manager (Window->Settings/Preferences->Plug-in manager).
